Webster Tarpley led a contingent of UFAA activists in various interventions in Washington DC leading up to inauguration day. The highlight of the weekend was UFAA's scene-stealing appearance on CNN, where a live broadcast was interrupted for over 30 minutes by a sign demanding the 1% Wall Street Sales Tax.

The House Education and Workforce Committee, chaired by John Kline (R, MN-2), has rejected HR.1979, the Bank On Students Loan Fairness Act (Tierney). This bill, still alive in the Senate, would force the Federal Reserve to refinance Federal Stafford Loans at 0.75%.

Lincoln NE, May 15, 2013 - UFAA supporters and activists intervened at a rally in Nebraska's capitol, held to drum up support for a proposal to expand Medicaid coverage to an additional 54,000 in the state.

January 28, 2013, Lincoln, NE - United Front Against Austerity (UFAA) activists and supporters held signs, passed out flyers, and rallied in support of organizing groups, Idle No More and Bold Nebraska, at the rally outside the Capitol Building in Lincoln.

Lincoln, NE, Janurary 21 – Activists from the Midwest United Front Against Austerity (UFAA) chapter in Lincoln marched with admirers of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in recognition of the civil rights leader, sharing information and good humor on the holiday named after the American hero.
